V-Shaped Grill Grates: Equipped with V-shaped grates, this grill directs grease away from the fire and into the grease tray, preventing flare-ups and ensuring even heat distribution.
Stainless Steel Grate Featuring a 304 stainless steel grate, this model offers enhanced durability and resistance to rust. The stainless steel surface ensures better heat retention and is easier to clean, making it suitable for those prioritizing longevity and low maintenance.
Uruguayan Style: This versatile grill combines a slanted grill with an integrated griddle, allowing users to prepare traditional barbecues and dishes typically cooked on a flat surface, such as Uruguay's iconic chivito.
Grill Set: This set includes a Santa Maria Grill and a brazier, allowing continuous ember production for precise heat control. Ideal for slow-roasting and searing, it ensures an authentic asado experience.

Can I install a grill insert into my existing fire pit or outdoor kitchen?
Yes! Our santa maria grill insert fits seamlessly into brick fire pits, custom outdoor kitchens, or any fire-resistant structure. We also offer complete units with wheeled carts for immediate use and mobility.
What is the main difference between iron and stainless steel grates?
Stainless steel resists rust and is easier to clean, while iron requires seasoning but offers superior heat retention. Both materials deliver authentic flavor with different maintenance requirements.
How should I maintain my grill grates?
Clean the grate after each use while still warm to prevent grease buildup. Iron grates require seasoning like a carbon steel griddle to create a natural non-stick surface.
What fuel and wood types work best for authentic asado?
Charcoal or wood embers are preferred for argentinian grill to achieve authentic flavor. Oak is the classic choice, though hickory, mesquite, and fruitwoods like apple or cherry work excellently.
What benefits do V-shaped grates offer?
V-shaped grates channel grease away from flames, preventing flare-ups and ensuring even cooking without charring.
What is the main difference between Santa Maria style and Argentine style?
The key difference is heat control. Santa Maria grills feature an adjustable grate that raises or lowers over the fire, while Argentine style grills have a fixed grate requiring you to add or remove embers for temperature regulation.
