Heavy-Duty Steel Construction
100% iron construction for outstanding heat retention and durability.
High-temperature resistant paint ensures long-lasting durability, even in high-heat outdoor cooking.
I was worried it might be thin gauge steel, or maybe the grill bars were welded without additional material like storebought grills… I am happy to say that my fears did not come true! This thing is amazing!
Solid construction, great, fast shipping.
Built to Last Decades
Every grill is backed by our Limited Lifetime Warranty against defects in material and workmanship under normal assembly, use, and maintenance - structural metal components and metal cooking surfaces are covered for the original purchaser.
After years of gas and charcoal grills, the Santa Maria Grill was exactly what I was looking for. Handcrafted, solid, and a joy to cook on. It's been the highlight of countless weekends at our lakeside backyard.
Folks, this is by far the best bang for your buck deal you can get. If you want a reliable Santa Maria grill without breaking the bank, this is it! You won't be disappointed.
High Heat Tolerance
High-temperature resistant paint ensures long-lasting durability in high-heat outdoor cooking, and the adjustable lifting system gives you precise heat control for searing or slow-roasting.
This grill is beautiful and works perfectly. If you want real woodfired meat, this is the best option available on the internet. Having the ability to control the distance between the grates and the coals is essential for temperature and flavor control. I cannot think of another grill style that will do that. Just buy it already!
This grill was exactly what I wanted it to be. Fast shipping, easy assembly, worked perfectly. Cooking over an open flame gets you the flavor of smoking while allowing you to keep the meat rare if that's what you are going for. And it's much faster.
Professional Grade Grill
Customers frequently praise the grill's robust construction and adjustable grate system, which delivers superior heat control across cooking styles - trusted by thousands of grill owners.
This grill is an amazing value. It's beautiful, perfectly built and exactly what we were looking for! We love the grates to cook on and the set-up was very easy. Would definitely recommend.
Craftsmanship is great. Easy to assemble. Exactly what I was looking for.

Built for Real Asado. Passed Down Through Family.
Our journey began in 2017, when Marcos started building Santa Maria grills inspired by the asados he grew up with in Argentina. What began as a personal project soon became GauchoLife.
In 2019, Sofi joined the journey, and today, as parents of three, we continue to build our grills the same way we live — with patience, care, and respect for tradition.
Our Santa Maria grills are made from heavy iron, designed with simple mechanics, and built for real asado over live fire. No shortcuts. No compromises.
GauchoLife stands for honest work, durable materials, and authentic Argentine heritage — so every grill belongs at the heart of your gatherings.

Frequently Asked Questions
What can I cook on the grill?
Unlike other types of grills, Argentine grills use a unique mechanism of levers and pulleys to adjust the grill's height effortlessly. You have precise control over the grill's proximity to the heat source, allowing you to fine-tune the temperature to your desired intensity.
High heat. Sear steaks, roast potatoes and cook sausages.
Medium-high heat. Cook burgers, roast veggies, poultry and seafood.
Medium heat. Cook BBQ meat, slow-cook whole poultry and cook fish.
Low heat. Slow-cook meat, cook tender veggies, warm up bread and keep food warm.
Can you deliver grills internationally?
Absolutely! We provide international shipping services for grills of all sizes. We've partnered with FedEx to ensure your order reaches you swiftly and securely. Rest assured,
every shipment is covered by insurance for added protection and peace of mind.
You'll also have the convenience of tracking your order every step of the way.
What differences are there between this model and the Gaucho Grills in the store?
This Santa Maria model focuses on traditional elevation systems, while our Gaucho Grills offer different designs including portable options and modern innovations. Both maintain authentic Argentine grilling traditions with distinct features.
What alternative includes an integrated brasero?
For a complete grilling station with integrated brasero, consider the Grill Set with Santa Maria Grill and Brazier. This set provides continuous ember production and precise temperature control in one complete package.
Is there a similar option built in stainless steel?
Yes, the Santa Maria Grill Inox Grate offers the same functionality with a premium 304 stainless steel grate, providing enhanced durability and rust resistance for year-round outdoor use.
What model should I choose if I need a version with wheels for easy garden mobility?
For maximum mobility without sacrificing performance, the Santa Maria Grill with Cart is ideal. It features four sturdy wheels with a brake system for easy transport and secure placement anywhere in your outdoor space.
Are there other fire-cooking tools that pair well with a traditional parrilla?
Definitely. Gaucho Life's argentinian griddles offer a great complement to open-fire grilling. Tools like the disco para discada are ideal for preparing rich stews, while the carbon steel griddle lets you cook vegetables, seafood, or tacos directly over flame—all with authentic control and flavor.
What is the traditional barbecue in Argentina?
The traditional Argentine barbecue is called asado, where meats like ribs, sausages, or entire animals are slow-cooked over wood or charcoal embers. While parrillas are common, many fire cooks embrace the bbq cross method for a deeper connection with open-fire tradition. In our collection, you'll find handcrafted tools like the Argentinian Iron Cross and the Heavy Duty Asador Argentino - both designed for authentic asador argentino-style cooking.

Well made, solid construction grill. Should last a very long time.

After searching for an Argentine grill insert for over two years, I finally found the perfect one. The price is reasonable, craftsmanship is amazing and assembly was a breeze. The shipping process was simple and easy to track. I would recommend this product to anyone in the market, you wont find anything better
Amazing quality and easy to set up. Couldn't be happier.
Arrived faster than i expected given Argentina to Australia is a fair distance. Was easy to assemble and the quality was as advertised. Simple mechanism should be easy to repair if anything goes wrong in time. Also I changed the order from bars to v grills all done easy, hassle free and fast, no problems. Excellent merchant

Well I got it live it but is not installed yet!!!
Item was a gift this time for a client. They enjoyed their house warming gift.
Very good product. Completely satisfied
Came in a very heavy box so I knew it was durable. Did have to assemble it but it was a very basic assembly process. Followed the directions on seasoning the grates and away we went. Great product and highly recommend Gaucholife.
Can't wait to start cooking with it. Thank you very much.
Very responsive, super fast delivery from Bs Aires to Melbourne, highly recommended
Love it and recommend it
I got it but still waiting to open it. The service was good and the order process was seamless. I would recommend them to others
Happy customer Exactly as described, the grill arrived well packaged and assembly was straightforward. Very happy with the quality
Santa Maria Grill V Grates
We received this Santa Maria Grill a couple days before the promised date. It is definitely a handmade item as the paint was not cured yet, it was missing a bolt and each part was carefully wrapped overwrapped in shrink wrap and then a box was formed around the parts. That being said, it is a good design and well executed. And the price makes it a good value. Overall I am very happy with the grill and look forward to cooking many meals on it.
missing instructions, but not a major issue.
Super Grill, musste ihn gleich ausprobieren
What a wonderful addition to our backyard. Everything is as advertised. Also excellent customer service. Highly recommended.
Well made. Excited to put it to use
Arrived as advertised. Quality parts and easy to assemble.
The grill was packed to an extreme in bubble and shrink wrap. Get a grandchild to help with the ununwraping.
Santa Maria Grill V Grates
We are building a 13 Argentinian Outside Grill. This product is well made, better quality than expected. Will upload photo when the project is completed.
Ive received the item, unpacked it, and visually inspected. It looks well built, sturdy and should last long time. Unfortunately, my backyard construction is running way late, which prevents me from assembling and testing it hopefully sometime in September. I dont forsee issues with the BBQ, the assembly seems to be straight forward, but if I find myself in need of anything related, then Ill contact the seller.
